Proposal Writing for Humanitarian and Social Development Projects Training Course

Proposal Writing for Humanitarian and Social Development Projects Training Course

This intensive, five-day training course is designed to equip participants with the practical skills and strategic knowledge necessary to develop compelling, high-quality funding proposals for humanitarian and social development initiatives. The curriculum focuses on moving beyond template-filling to applying a strategic project design mindset, ensuring that proposals are evidence-based, logically sound, and directly address the priorities of international donors, foundations, and government funding agencies. Upon completion, participants will be able to manage the full proposal development lifecycle, from initial concept design and stakeholder consultation to final submission and post-award preparation, significantly enhancing their organization's ability to secure vital project financing.

The course topics cover the foundational elements of project design, starting with rigorous needs assessment and problem analysis, which feed directly into establishing a robust Theory of Change and constructing a detailed Logical Framework (Logframe). Participants will then master the technical aspects of articulating project goals, objectives, and planned activities, followed by an in-depth focus on developing accurate, compliant budgets and powerful monitoring and evaluation frameworks. A critical component of the training involves understanding the varied requirements of major institutional donors and learning advanced techniques for writing clear, persuasive, and compliance-driven technical narratives, culminating in strategies for successful proposal review and submission.
